Term 2- Week 7

Congratulations go to…

Japanese: Tom D (12S) for your terrific effort this year in Japanese. You have shown a great approach Tom. Keep it up!

Performing Arts:  Grade 5/6’s- These students researched and presented information about the music, drama and dance found in a country of their own choice to an excellent standard: Kenzie, Mylo, Charlie A, Grace, Gary and Milla.

Visual Arts: A wonderful effort to all the Foundation students for their Louise Nevelson inspired sculptures, especially Alys in FE.

Student of the Week – 6

Term 2- Week 6. Congratulations go to…

PE:  This will given in the next week.

Japanese: Antosha and Tanmaya. You have both worked well in Japanese sessions and your Hiragana writing has developed. Good on you two!

Performing Arts:  We will be recognising Gr 5/6 students next week

Visual Arts:  For listening to all instructions and understanding why we place complementary colours together when studying the Artist – Henri Matisse! Well done Lucas and Archie in FD.

Student of the Week 3

Our Assembly this week was full of highlights for our Students of the Week. Term 2, Week 3

PE: Sam will be announcing week 3 Students of the Week in week 4.

Japanese: Well done to both Kitty 12E and Angus G 12S! You have both been terrific students in Japanese with your great enthusiasm and hard working approach to tasks. Keep it up Kitty and Angus!

Performing Arts: Grade 5/6- Alexandra for terrific research on the Performing Arts in Sweden, Victor for being self-motivated when researching the Performing Arts found in the Philippines.

Art: Melinda will be announcing these students in Week 5

Student of the Week 4

Our Assembly this week was full of highlights for our Students of the Week. Term 2, Week 4

PE: Jake P,  Bella S, Chloe W, Matisse S, Harvey MH, Anna F, Maia C, Ben N, Rachel M, Mimi H. Congratulations on brilliant runs at Kew District Cross Country.

Japanese: A great effort to Summer 1/2D and Darcy S 1/2C for being the Japanese students of the week. You two are role models for your classes and always show a positive approach to sessions. Keep it up!

Performing Arts: For excellent poster presentations about the Performing Arts in country of their choice- Freddy- Bangladesh, Emily – Uganda.

Our final assembly for Term One was full of highlights for our Students of the Week.

Japanese: A great effort to Mayan 3/4H and Zoe 3/4K this week. You are both positive role models and workers in Japanese. Keep  it up!

Performing Arts: Foundation students- Fiona, Huon, Archie

Art: Congratulations to Yuan Yuan and Kitty from 1/2E on their excellent use of different lines to create an effective background to their art work ‘Monsters Don’t eat Broccoli’.

Students of the Week – 2

Our Assembly this week was full of highlights for our Students of the Week. Term 2, Week 2

PE: Sam will be announcing week 2 Students of the Week in week 4.

Japanese: Well done to Eliza and Charlie S in 12S and 12C. You have both been terrific role models in the Japanese classroom this year. You have listened well, contributed to discussions and completed very good work. A great effort!

Performing Arts: Tracey and Emily from grade 5/6 achieved the Student of the Week for an excellent presentation about violins. They included; parts of the violin, history and how to play it. They each played a piece beautifully. Thanks girls we learnt a lot from your terrific presentation!

 Art: Congratulations to Mia and Oliver in FD for their excellent listening skills in Art. They both tried hard to draw detailed pictures of their family which will be displayed soon!

Students of the Week – 8

Another great effort to the students who received ‘Student of the week’ certificates from the Specialist team. Keep up the great work!

PE Grade 56 – Great job everyone!

Japanese Grade 34 – Thomas C (34O) and Ruby K (34M) for great contributions and efforts in Japanese. Keep it up Thomas and Ruby!

Art Grade 12L- Darcy and Romany have both shown their excellent use of line to design a space (Darcy) and garden (Romany) scene. They used their knowledge of Warm and Cool Colours very well! Come and see their art work on display in the corridor.

Students of the Week – 9

It is wonderful to see so many students doing amazing work in the Specialist programs. Well done!

PE: Congratulations to Nick and Sol on being selected to the Kew District Basketball squad.

Congratulations to Georgie and Mimi on their outstanding leadership and preparation for Netball training sessions and being selected to the Kew District Netball team.

Japanese: Well done to Matisse 3/4H and Aengus 3/4K. You have been terrific contributors to Japanese and your work outstanding. A great effort! 

Performing Arts: Congratualtions to Harvey, Sayer, Selina, Sunny, Jonah, Oliver (FD) and Vivien. They received their awards at our Foundation student’s first Assembly! These student’s put in a great effort to either learn the anthem or act confidently, direct a group or share their ideas. They were very proud recipients!

Art: Congratulations to Flynn and Sienna from 1/2C on their great use of line and warm and cook colours in their art work – ‘Monsters Don’t Eat Broccoli’.
